Alexander Roitburd is a Ukrainian painter, author of video installations and a curator, one of the main figures in Ukrainian postmodernism. In his work, the artist reinterprets many works of old masters and the main artistic directions of the twentieth century – surrealism, expressionism, cubism, and other traditions, transforming their images and plots to create new meanings.

“The Impressionists said that they painted the world as they saw it. Picasso said that he painted the world as he knew it. I depict the world as I depict it”

"The time in which we live is characterized by the word "fucked up". But do not despair. "Fucked up" was before us and will be after us. Otherwise, it would be boring."
